Position: Millwork Specialist
Overview: The Millwork Specialist at Nerval Corporation is responsible for reviewing floor plans, creating detailed cabinet drawings, submitting price requests, compiling comprehensive proposals, and performing other cabinet design related activities accordingly. This role is vital in supporting the estimating and design functions within the Sales & Marketing division, ensuring accurate and high-quality cabinet designs for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Floor Plan Review:
- Review and analyze architectural floor plans and blueprints.
- Identify client needs and requirements for cabinet designs based on floor plans.
Cabinet Design and Drawings:
- Create detailed and accurate cabinet drawings using design software.
- Develop innovative and functional cabinet designs that meet client specifications.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
Price Requests and Estimates:
- Prepare and submit price requests for cabinet designs to suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for cabinet projects.
Proposal Compilation:
- Compile comprehensive proposals for clients, including design drawings, cost estimates, and timelines.
- Ensure all proposals are accurate, professional, and meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to present proposals to clients.
Client Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on cabinet designs.
- Make revisions to designs based on client feedback and preferences.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, production, and service management, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Work cooperatively with the Project Coordination team to support project timelines and address any issues or challenges that arise.
- Facilitate effective communication and cooperation among team members.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all design drawings, price requests, and proposals.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a design technologist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Mozaik, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
