Position Summary
The Warehouse Worker must load and unload materials regularly, with the capability of repetitive heavy lifting, and use any necessary equipment, e.g., lift truck, forklift, etc.
Essential Functions
- Accurately pick and prepare materials based on pick lists, work orders, or RF scanners
- Operate a Reach Truck, Counterbalance Forklift or Electric Pallet Jack in a safe manner to move product in production and warehouse area.
- Verify item codes, quantities, and product specifications to ensure order accuracy
- Maintain strong attention to detail to prevent errors in shipments or production supply
- Perform quality checks on products before packing or staging
- Lift cases of product and/or stock merchandise according to documented procedures.
- Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse or production floor
- Conduct pre-use equipment inspections and report any issues
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies when operating machinery
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
- Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies; sort and distribute incoming shipments.
- Report discrepancies to immediate supervisor and follow current standards and procedures.
- Maintain organized & safe work area according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Act as backup for other warehouse workers, and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Forklift (counterbalance & reach truck) certification/experience is must & experience in food industry is preferred.
- Work experience (at least 1 year) in Picking/Warehouse role is preferred, including ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift truck.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting, and to weigh and measure items.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing, possess basic mathematical skills.
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods.
- Computer literacy, including basic working skills of Excel and e-mail.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

- Climate controlled warehouse environment.

Ability to Commute/Relocate
- Reliable transportation to commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Schedule
- 8-hour shift (8 AM- 5PM, with some flexibility required)
- 40 hours per week
- Occasional overtime and weekend work when business needs are as such.
