We are looking for a Registered Nurse to work with our Medical/Surgical Float Pool Department to help us continue in our mission to serve our community with Kindness, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork.
Position Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will perform the duties expected of a Registered Nurse within Medical/Surgical Float Pool Department.
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision of general and specialized nursing duties and work assignments on a daily basis, according to the Practice Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO), and approved standards of care of the Corporation.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

BScN preferred, minimum completion of Diploma in Nursing

Current BLS certification required

Recent clinical experience preferred
-
Management of Aggressive Behavior or equivalent preferred

Coronary Care 1 Certificate preferred, or proof of enrollment within three (3) months with completion in six (6) months of hire

Current ACLS certification preferred, or proof of completion within three (3) months of hire

Certificate in Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) preferred

Recent Medical/Surgical and Pediatric experience preferred

Recent Palliative Care and Rehabilitation experience preferred

Experience in Medicine and/or Telemetry preferred

Required to work in multiple department and do transfers

Experience in Medicine and/or Telemetry preferred

Recent experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms preferred

Required to work in multiple departments and do transfers

Acceptable performance and attendance records
Hiring Salary Range: $41.15 - $58.98
The approximate duration of this temporary position is six (6) months.
