MVP Security is seeking reliable and professional Event Security Guards for weekend shifts on an on-call, part-time basis. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure atmosphere during special events, concerts, festivals, private parties, and corporate functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide a visible and professional security presence at events
Qualifications:
- Valid Alberta Security Services License (mandatory)
- Reliable transportation to and from event sites
- Previous event security or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in busy environments
- Must be available on weekends and on short notice (on-call)
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time, On-Call
- Shift duration may vary depending on event
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Monitor crowd behavior and ensure compliance with event policies
- Conduct access control, ticket checks, and perimeter patrols
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances
- Work collaboratively with event staff, emergency services, and law enforcement if required
- Complete detailed incident reports as needed
- Follow client instructions and adhere to site-specific protocols
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
