Deadmonton is hiring a chef to operate the Food Truck for the 2026 season.
We are looking for a talented and driven Chef to create a custom themed menu of “spooky eats”. To lead a small team and deliver delicious eats, accurately, consistently and efficiently. To operate, maintain and clean various cooking equipment. A very unique and rare opportunity to make an impact on a marquee YEG event! Up to the challenge?
Experience in the food industry is required a minimum of 1 year in a head chef or leading role, the chef has the opportunity to help build a themed menu along with managing a small team. The event is open 29 nights from September 25 to November 7, 2026. Mostly Thursday nights through Sunday nights. Start times approx. 1:00PM each night and end times vary depending on day of week (between 10 PM - 12/1 AM). Shared tips with the food truck team (typically a sous chef and order taker)
Food Truck is only 5 years old and has all the amenities you will need plus more. Wage is negotiable depending on experience. Position is contract based and seasonal, 2-3 month position with potential for other projects.
