TK Ranch is a leader in animal welfare, environmental sustainability and quality. We employ a small number of staff that work closely in a team focused friendly environment to prepare high quality meat products. We require a Meat Cutter to assist with production at our government inspected cutting facility located 20 minutes east of Calgary.
Duties Include:
- Cut, trim, de-bone and prepare standard cuts of both beef and pork according to stringent in-house specifications;
- Operate and maintain meat cutting and processing equipment;
- Follow proper food safety and handling procedures to meet regulatory requirements;
- Clean and sanitizes equipment and working areas where required;
- Comply with health and safety and food safety standards;
- Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance; and
- Other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Two years meat cutting experience from whole carcass to retail;
- Attention to detail and clean work habits;
- Ability to work in a temperature controlled (colder) environment;
- Ability to lift 50 lb / 22.5 kgs;
- Must be a team player and flexible with daily duties as required;
- Must commute to the work site which is located 20 minutes east of Calgary.
Monday to Friday, no weekends or shift work. Wages commensurate with skills and work ethic.
