Our client is a Multi-Brand, Major Franchise Restaurant Group of 200 + locations based in Greater Vancouver, that is undergoing steady growth and expansion across Canada.
They require a qualified Purchasing Manager/Director for a Senior Role in its Corporate Office.
Role:
Senior Manager Department Director role, reporting directly to CFO & CEO, working in tandem with Senior Operations Brand Leaders.
You will maintain & establish systems on-going for continued harmonious distribution throughout multiple brands and locations.
Requirements:
* 5-10 years industry experience as either Purchasing Manager or Restaurant Regional Manager of multiple locations, or direct purchasing/product distribution/contract negotiating and supplier relations & procurement experience.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skillls.
* Preference given to those with hands on restaurant operations background, as part of resume qualifications.
* Excellent computer skills, & Pivot table analysis, & cost accounting.
Responsibility:
* Product distribution flow to 200 plus locations & managing relations & efficiencies with 2 major distribution companies.
* Maintain relations, database information contract supply with multiple suppliers across the system. Approx 100+ suppliers.
* Working closely with internal finance team regarding contract supply management & review of inflow streams.
* Major contract negotiations for large scale suppliers required on a as needed basis, typically 3-year contract cycles.
* Monitoring of cost fluctuations, alternate supply opportunities when & where considered.
* Quality assurance role of monitoring the raw product incoming to franchise restaurant locations & working closely with senior brand leaders.
* Actively participating in regional franchise owner’s meetings with purchasing updates.
You will need to be sharp with numbers, have a keen understanding & knowledge of restaurant operations and P&Ls, and a passion for the industry.

Salary - commensurate with experience
