Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Care to oversee the delivery of high-quality senior care within our Retirement Home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of nursing and dementia care, and a commitment to enhancing residents' well-being. This leadership role involves supervising caregiving staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and managing operational aspects to foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise caregiving staff to ensure delivery of compassionate, person-centered care tailored to individual needs.
- Oversee daily operations of the care facility, including staffing, scheduling, and resource management.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Develop and implement care plans for residents, including specialized dementia and senior care programs.
- Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely in accordance with legal requirements.
- Monitor resident health status and coordinate with healthcare providers for medical needs.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and procurement to maintain efficient facility operations.
- Provide leadership in staff training, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive team environment.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement focused on quality of life for residents.
Experience
- Proven experience in retirement living or nursing home environments with a strong background in nursing or senior care.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing caregiving teams or healthcare staff.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and strategies for managing complex medical conditions in seniors.
- Experience with medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and improve team performance.

Pay: $70,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
