Working with an energetic and high performing team, this Water Specialist role offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Conduct regular field reviews to monitor contractor compliance with drawings, specifications, and municipal standards
- Assist in the review and responses to RFIs, shop drawings, and contractor submittals
- Track and verify quantities, progress payments, and contract changes
- Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and project managers to address site issues in a timely manner
- Support deficiency reviews, commissioning activities, and project closeout documentation
- Maintain accurate field records, site reports, and photographic documentation
- Assist with the design of watermain and sanitary sewer infrastructure, including alignments, profiles, and appurtenances
- Support preparation of engineering drawings, technical specifications, and tender documents
- Complete quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Contribute to technical reports, design summaries, and project documentation
- Coordinate with internal disciplines and support overall project delivery
- Able to work extended hours as project requires
- Ability to travel to project sites
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum 1+ year of construction administration experience on underground utility projects
- Demonstrated experience with watermain and sanitary sewer design
- Good understanding of municipal construction standards and specifications (e.g., City of Edmonton, CCDC, or similar)
- Strong record keeping skills
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record is required
