Since our incorporation in 1990, Newfoundland HVAC has remained a locally owned and operated company. Our headquarters are located in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland.
Opportunity
Newfoundland HVAC is currently seeking full time Sheet Metal Workers for projects in St. John’s and the surrounding areas, as well as turn-around workers for projects ongoing in Northern Labrador.
As a Sheet Metal Worker your duties will consist of, but are not limited to:
· Fabrication, assembly and installation of mechanical HVAC systems
· Use of fabrication equipment both in the shop, as well as on job sites
· Review drawings, order materials, and adhere to design specifications
· Occasional travel outside the St. John’s area may be required
Qualifications
Qualifications will vary based on the position in which you are in consideration for. General qualifications are as follows:
· Appropriate certifications within the trade, or qualifying experience
· Safety certifications (WHIMIS, Fall Protection, Etc.) would be considered an asset
· Strong communication skills and ability to work with others
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
· Supply of own hand tools is required
Our Offer
· Rate of pay will be based on level of training/certifications
· Hourly Rate Premiums will be available to all employees who are contracted to work on a turn-around basis for our Northern Labrador sites.
· Other company benefits may be available, where applicable. Consideration will be based on level of training and experience.
· Consideration will also be given to candidates with related qualified experience in the Sheet Metal Trade
