EyeStory Optical is looking for a caring, professional, and patient-focused Part-Time Optometrist to join our modern optical clinic at Yonge & Finch. We are committed to providing exceptional eye care in a welcoming environment where every patient receives personalized attention.
The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering comprehensive eye examinations, building lasting patient relationships, and working collaboratively with our optical team to provide outstanding vision care for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations and assess overall ocular health.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat refractive errors and common eye conditions.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and appropriate treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
- Provide exceptional care for patients of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors.
- Educate patients on eye health, vision correction options, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) software.
- Collaborate with the EyeStory Optical team to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
- Work closely with opticians to support patients in selecting the most suitable eyewear solutions.
- Stay up to date with advancements in optometry and maintain all professional licensing requirements.

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensed and in good standing with the relevant provincial regulatory college.
- Strong clinical knowledge and excellent diagnostic skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A compassionate, patient-first approach with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages.
- Experience with EMR software is an asset.
- Previous experience in a private practice or retail optical setting is preferred but not required.
