Position: Water Truck and Tandem Driver
Location: Sites located in and around Edmonton, reporting into our Acheson office

About Us:
Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Water Truck and Tandem Truck Driver
- Perform minor truck maintenance
- Perform pre-operational equipment inspection checklist
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with Kichton Contracting Ltd.’s safe work practices, policies and procedures
- Ability to identify hazards
- Maintain accurate driving logs
- Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
- Assist with other duties as required
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working as a Tandem/Water Truck Driver
- Valid Class 3 driver’s license (clean abstract) with air endorsement
- Valid CSTS-2020 (free online course through ACSA)
- Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
- Must be able to pass and participate in the company's Drug and Alcohol Program.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Saturday
- 10-12 hour shifts per day
- Overtime if required
