Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist to join our team in Royal Oak. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth office operations. This role requires strong administrative skills, proficiency with office software, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in medical or dental office settings is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and clients warmly, maintaining a professional front desk presence
- Manage phone systems, directing calls appropriately and taking messages when necessary
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other relevant software
- Schedule appointments, coordinate meetings, and manage calendars efficiently
- Handle filing, document management, and general administrative such as cleaning when not busy
- Assist with billing, bookkeeping, and basic QuickBooks entries as needed
- Provide customer support through excellent phone etiquette and professional communication
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Support other administrative duties including proofreading documents and managing office supplies
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace tools
- Strong computer skills with experience in data entry and office management software such as QuickBooks
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous clerical or administrative experience, preferably in medical or dental offices
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and courteously
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for proofreading documents
- Familiarity with filing systems, record keeping, and basic bookkeeping or bookkeeping experience is advantageous
- Knowledge of medical or dental office procedures is a plus but not mandatory
