Project Controls Coordinator (Temporary – Project Based)
Position Summary
Bandit Energy Services is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator to support a major pipeline construction project. This is a temporary, full-time position anticipated to run through October 2026, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and future opportunities.
The Project Controls Coordinator will work closely with project management and field supervision to coordinate project scheduling, progress tracking, reporting, cost control, document management, and project administration throughout all phases of construction.
The successful candidate will play a key role in monitoring project performance, maintaining accurate project records, supporting client reporting requirements, and helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules and short-term look-ahead plans.
- Track construction progress, quantities, productivity, and schedule performance.
- Prepare daily and bi-weekly progress and cost reports, and client reporting.
- Monitor labour, equipment, subcontractor, and material costs and assist with project forecasting and cost reporting.
- Assist with change management, purchase orders, progress claims, and project documentation.
- Maintain project correspondence, document control, action item logs, and project records.
- Coordinate with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and clients to collect project information and support decision-making.
- Support project planning, resource forecasting, and schedule updates throughout construction.
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes, action logs, and follow-up documentation.
- Provide general project administration support as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in project controls, scheduling, project coordination, construction administration, or a related role.
- Experience supporting pipeline construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence.
Assets
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience with pipeline construction scheduling and project controls.
- Experience with cost tracking, forecasting, quantity tracking, and progress reporting.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, change management, procurement, and project documentation.
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project controls software.
