Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with diagnosing complex vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical components.
- Conduct diesel engine repairs and service diesel-powered vehicles with precision and attention to detail.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Support the calibration and repair of ADAS features such as lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and collision avoidance systems.
- Execute wheel alignments and perform vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and powertrain components to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety standards at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or hands-on mechanic experience is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, schematics, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards and procedures related to auto body repair and maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose issues accurately using automotive diagnostics software and interpret technical manuals.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
