About Tero Power
Tero Power is a commercial and industrial solar contractor delivering rooftop, ground-mount, and energy-storage projects across Ontario. We're hiring one to two registered electrical apprentices for our field crew.
The role
Hands-on rooftop solar installation — electrical work plus the mechanical assembly that comes with it. You'll work under our Master Electrician and Site Supervisor building PV systems from racking through energization. This is a registered apprenticeship position: your on-site hours are logged toward your 309A certification.
What you'll do
● Install DC and AC wiring — string conductors, MC4 connectors, terminations, grounding and bonding
● Assemble and set racking, ballast, and solar modules (mechanical work)
● Mount and land inverters, disconnects, and balance-of-system equipment
● Support commissioning — insulation-resistance testing, open-circuit and polarity checks, AC voltage verification
● Torque and label connections to spec; keep the work area clean and secure
● Work at heights on commercial rooftops, outdoors, in all seasons
What you need
● Registered apprentice in the 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician trade with Skilled Trades Ontario (any level). Include your registration and current level when you apply. Only apply if you are currently already registered.
● Working at Heights and WHMIS 2015 — current, or completed before your start date
● Legally entitled to work in Canada
● Reliable transportation to GTA project sites
● Comfortable with physical rooftop work: lifting, ladders and heights, all weather
● CSA-approved safety boots
Nice to have
● Prior solar / PV installation experience
● Forklift, telehandler, boom-lift or scissor-lift tickets
● Standard First Aid / CPR
● Valid Ontario driver's licence (G)
