Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient interactions, ensuring accurate data collection, and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. The Register will be responsible for supporting various departments, including acute care, pediatrics, and pain management.
Duties
- Greet patients and assist with the registration process to ensure a smooth experience.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems (Epic, Cerner) for data collection purposes.
- Support clinical staff by preparing necessary documentation for patient care.
- Assist in medication administration under the supervision of licensed personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs.
- Provide information to patients regarding services offered, appointment scheduling, and follow-up care.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Experience
- Previous hospital experience is preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
- Familiarity with pain management protocols and pediatric patient care is advantageous.
- Experience in a medical office environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Knowledge of data collection methods related to patient care outcomes is beneficial.
