We are looking for a Mold Maker to join our Maintenance team, supporting processes in injection molding and assembly. Must support the manufacturing areas and maintain the overall Toyota Production System with focus on minimizing down time, increasing productivity, launch activities and performing preventative maintenance.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and machine specifications

Manufacture and repair parts in a timely manner while completing all required documentation

Perform mold/tooling repair, maintenance, and modification as required

Use CAD (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) to review, update, and maintain drawings and tooling files
-
Operate manual machining equipment including milling machines, lathes, and grinders within scope of experience

Set up and change cutting tools; modify and grind tooling as required
-
Plan machining sequences by reviewing drawings, charts, and sample parts to determine the most efficient operations

Perform precision polishing and finishing to meet tooling surface requirements and quality standards
-
Measure and inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
-
Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments
-
Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of equipment
-
Support engineering changes and continuous improvement of tooling
-
Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues effectively
-
Communicate with internal departments and external vendors as needed
-
Report any safety, quality, or production concerns promptly
-
Follow all safety rules, procedures, and company standards
-
Provide on-call or emergency support as required

Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (tooling/machining preferred)
-
Strong hands-on experience with manual machining (milling, turning, grinding)
-
High proficiency in polishing and finishing of tooling is required
-
Experience with jigs, fixtures, and tool repair/maintenance
-
CNC experience (operation/programming) is considered an asset (HAAS, SolidWorks CAM, BobCAD, etc.)

Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings
-
Solid understanding of metal machining processes and tooling methods
-
Knowledge of the Toyota Production System (TPS) is an asset

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work in a multi-skilled environment and learn beyond primary trade
-
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
-
High attention to detail and analytical mindset
-
Self-motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities
-
Willingness to work bi-weekly rotating shifts (days/afternoons) and overtime as required

$45.87 per hour as a starting rate.

$46.65 after six months of employment.

$47.43 after one year of employment.

$48.99 after two years of employment.

$50.60 after three years of employment.
-
A $2.00 shift premium is added when working the afternoon shift.

Overtime time is paid 1.5 times your regular wage after 40 hours each week.
