We are looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to looking to expand their repertoire outside of retail pharmacy. The client here in Edmonton is a specialty pharmacy. This particular pharmacy is a specialty pharmacy and deals with a larger basket of drugs uncommon to retail pharmacy such as Biologic and specialty medication, so we require someone who is quick to learn and as well as someone who has strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the accurate and timely dispensing of prescriptions, including preparation and labelling.
- Efficiently using the Kroll pharmacy computer system to manage and fulfill orders.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all Federal and Provincial pharmacy regulations and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
- Contributing to a high-volume workflow while maintaining precision and attention to detail.
Qualifications
DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THE MINIMUM CRITERIA
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pharmacy Assistant.
- High proficiency with the Kroll computer system is required (experience with a volume of ~300 Rx/day is ideal).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume, and demanding work environment.
- A quick learner with a strong desire to move beyond retail pharmacy.
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
- Hourly Rate: $19 - $20 per hour
