Position Summary
The Paralegal / Law Clerk, under the direction of the General Counsel, will be responsible for drafting legal correspondence, contracts, and corporate documents, while providing administrative and clerical support to the Legal and Financial Services Department. This role will assist with corporate matters including immigration, insurance, litigation management, and contractual administration. The ideal candidate will possess post-secondary education in a legal discipline along with relevant corporate or legal experience.
Responsibilities

Draft contracts, legal correspondence, and corporate documentation

Assist with the management and organization of litigation files

Support immigration-related matters and documentation

Coordinate and manage group insurance administration

Assist with billing, tracking, and administrative support for RM Financial Services

Conduct legal and corporate research using print and electronic resources

Maintain confidential legal and corporate records

Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Legal and Financial Services Department

Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the General Counsel or the Legal and Financial Services Department
Requirements

Post-secondary education in a legal or related discipline

3+ years of related corporate or legal experience

Strong understanding of legal documentation, contracts, statutes, and corporate procedures

Ability to read, interpret, and apply legal documentation, laws, and legislation

Demonstrated experience conducting legal and corporate research

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands

Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle sensitive situations with professionalism

High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
