About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and safety‑driven Class 1 , 3 and Q Truck Driver Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in developing new drivers, strengthening safety culture, and delivering high‑quality, hands‑on training. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver practical and classroom instruction for Class 1, 3 and Q driver training programs
- Coach students on safe driving techniques, regulatory compliance and professional conduct
- Conduct road evaluations, skills assessments and progress reviews
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Provide constructive feedback to support student success
- Ensure all training aligns with provincial regulations and company standards
- Promote a positive, safety‑focused learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Alberta driver’s license with clean abstract and a Current Alberta Transportation Class 1 Instructor License (LDI number must be provided)
- Minimum 3–5 years of driving and teaching experience
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check
- Must be able to provide a clean Alcohol and Drug Test
- Strong knowledge of Alberta Transportation regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain patient, professional and supportive with learners of all skill levels
- Commitment to safety, professionalism and continuous improvement
- Must be able to operate Manual and Automatic Transmission Trucks
- High School Diploma
- Basic Computer skills
- All training to be delivered in English
