Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental office procedures, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management software is highly preferred. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate record-keeping, and excellent customer service.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using Tracker
- Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries and direct calls appropriately
- Verify patient insurance information and update electronic medical records accurately
- Collect payments, process billing, and handle financial transactions at the front desk
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and correspondence
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Prepare treatment room schedules and assist in managing patient flow throughout the day
Skills
- Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a dental office setting
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and office management procedures
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently and professionally
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Strong administrative experience including appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
Experience:
- Tracker: 3 years (preferred)
