Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Construction Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves assisting with various residential construction projects, supporting skilled trades, and ensuring the successful completion of building tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for construction work. Prior experience or familiarity with construction tools and techniques is highly valued.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and demolition of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up work areas
- Support tradespeople in executing their tasks efficiently
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with framing, trim making and install, caulking, and painting projects
- Follow schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Aid in cabinet installation, flooring, tile laying, and other finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Skills
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Experience in framing, finishing, carpentry, and restoration work
- Ability to read construction drawings and project scopes
- Familiarity with caulking, painting, flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, welding, and cabinetry is a plus
- Strong physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
