Tooling Design / Manufacturing Engineer (Corporate)

Responsible for designing equipment, tooling, automation and generating supporting documentation as required. See projects through the concept, design and release phase to implementation.

Job Duties
- Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in manufacturing methods to help keep the company on the leading edge
- Use CAD software for the design of equipment, tooling & automation required for assigned projects
- Act as technical contact for vendors and suppliers on tooling and equipment issues
- Help manage and make contributions to the development of new tools, automation equipment and productivity enhancements
- Perform engineering changes on new and existing equipment and tools
- Develop and implement procedures for the maintenance of equipment, tools and manufacturing cells
- Present and explain proposals for tooling and equipment during process review meetings.
- Provide technical oversight of projects through team meetings and other means.
- Monitor engineering aspects of tooling/equipment start-ups; ensure project start-up plans and required documentation are completed and coordinated with Operations and Maintenance Department personnel.
- Evaluating information and results to choose the best solution to solve problems.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
Requirements:
- 1–5 years of engineering experience, preferably in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or automation
- Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in a related field.
- Experience with CAD software (Creo and Windchill preferred)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and mechanical design.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and engineering standards
- Others duties as required by tooling manager

Work Conditions:

- Ability to attend and conduct presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Ability to physically implement designs
- Overtime as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
