Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
- Adapt to changing menus and special requests from customers.
Qualifications
- Two years previous experience in food service or as a cook in a restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, food handling, and food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
