We are seeking a senior Lead Solution Architect to define and execute a strategic modernization roadmap, transitioning an existing application ecosystem into a high-performing, distributed system. In this role, you will collaborate closely with key stakeholders to design loosely coupled, independently deployable services, balance long-term TCO with technical innovation, and establish scalable architecture patterns that set the standard for future development.
Advantages
- High-Impact Architecture: Direct the end-to-end transformation of a large-scale application landscape into a modern, distributed architecture.
- Strategic Leadership: Play a pivotal role in setting enterprise-level standards, patterns, and frameworks that directly influence future projects.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside forward-thinking business and technical leaders who value innovation, scalability, and robust design.
- Long-Term Total Cost Ownership (TCO) Focus: Build solutions designed for sustainability, giving you the autonomy to manage architectural and operational risks proactively.
Responsibilities
- Assess current application landscapes to identify, prioritize, and execute strategic modernization opportunities.
- Evaluate and recommend optimal architectural approaches (microservices, modular monolith, hybrid, or incremental modernization).
- Develop target-state architectures, domain models, and actionable modernization roadmaps aligned with business strategy.
- Collaborate with enterprise frameworks and standards teams to define clear patterns for service communication, data management, and deployment.
- Mitigate architectural, technical, and operational risks while balancing long-term technology investments and TCO.
- Provide architectural oversight across projects to prevent solution fragmentation and promote reusable, scalable design patterns.
- Deliver clear architecture assessments, recommendations, and executive-level guidance to key stakeholders.

- 10+ years presenting strategic recommendations and implementation plans to executive and technical clients.
- 8+ years leading architecture on complex programs requiring strong interpersonal and collaborative leadership skills.
- 8+ years designing robust, scalable distributed systems.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
Desired Skills:
- Microservices & Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CAP theorem, eventual consistency, Saga patterns, and API/service boundary design.
- Modern Stack & Cloud: Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and synchronous/asynchronous communication (REST, gRPC, messaging/event-driven).
- Frameworks & Data Architecture: Strong grounding in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Open Group), data integration, and overall information architecture.
- Security & Resilience: Knowledge of zero-trust architectures, API security, circuit breakers, distributed tracing, and designing resilient systems built for failure.
- Public Sector Context: Prior experience delivering architecture within large organizations or public sector environments
