Medical Aesthetician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and professional Medical Aesthetician to join our growing clinic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about skin health, client care, and non-invasive aesthetic treatments. This role involves performing advanced skincare services, educating clients on treatment plans and products, and supporting a high standard of patient experience in a medical aesthetic environment.
The Medical Aesthetician will work closely with medical professionals and clinic staff to deliver safe, effective, and personalized treatments while maintaining exceptional hygiene and clinical standards.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Perform professional medical aesthetic treatments, including:
- Facials
- Chemical peels
- Microneedling
- Hydrafacial treatments
- Laser hair removal
- Skin rejuvenation treatments
- Acne and pigmentation treatments
- Body contouring treatments (if applicable)
- Conduct thorough client consultations and skin assessments
- Develop customized treatment plans based on client goals and skin conditions
- Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care
- Recommend appropriate skincare products and homecare routines
- Maintain accurate client charts and treatment records
- Ensure treatment rooms and equipment meet cleanliness and sterilization standards
- Assist physicians/nurses with medical aesthetic procedures when required
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and treatment protocols
- Build strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service
- Support clinic sales goals through ethical product and treatment recommendations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Medical Aesthetician or Medical Esthetician diploma
- Previous experience in a medical spa, dermatology clinic, or cosmetic practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical-grade skincare products and treatments
- Experience with laser devices and aesthetic equipment is an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, polished, and client-focused demeanor
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed
- CPR/First Aid certification is an asset
