Job Summary (Must have previous Dental Reception Experience)
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and familiarity with dental office operations to ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle inquiries
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments accordingly
- Assist with appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations in the practice management software
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and current medications, utilizing medical terminology accurately
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming
- Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow throughout the day
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry with attention to detail
Requirements
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is A MUST!
- Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix and Epic is desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records management
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and professionalism
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Previous administrative experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in medical or dental administration is advantageous
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
