Job Summary
House of Praise and Prayer is seeking an experienced Business Services Manager to oversee the organization's administrative, financial, operational, and strategic activities. The successful candidate will ensure efficient management of organizational resources, maintain compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation governing charitable organizations, and support the effective delivery of community outreach and humanitarian programs. This position plays a critical role in supporting the organization's mission by providing leadership in operational planning, financial management, policy implementation, fundraising administration, and organizational development.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Services Manager will:
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the administrative operations of the organization.
- Develop, implement and monitor annual operating budgets and financial plans.
- Prepare financial reports, operational reports and management summaries for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Develop and implement organizational policies, administrative procedures and operational best practices.
- Coordinate the organization's charitable programs, community outreach initiatives, food distribution programs and social support services.
- Supervise administrative staff, volunteers and program coordinators. Monitor expenditures and ensure efficient allocation of organizational resources.
- Manage procurement activities, negotiate vendor agreements and oversee service contracts.
- Coordinate fundraising activities, donor administration and grant reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation including: Ontario Employment Standards Act, Canada Revenue Agency charitable regulations, Occupational Health and Safety requirements, Privacy and record management obligations.
- Support organizational strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate logistics for community events, outreach programs and charitable projects.
- Establish performance objectives and evaluate operational effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate organizational records and documentation.
Education
Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, Commerce Or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or related roles with a track record of achieving targets.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience supervising teams or departments.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights for strategic planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible experience in business management, operations management, administration or non-profit management. Experience within a charitable, faith-based or community organization is considered an asset.

Pay: $101,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
