Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise electricians and apprentices on site, assigning daily tasks and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification

Plan and coordinate daily work activities in alignment with drawings, schedules, and project priorities

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and provide technical guidance to the crew as required

Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Code, ESA requirements, and Sheridan Electric standards

Monitor quality of installation and workmanship, identify deficiencies, and take corrective action as required

Proactively identify material needs, site constraints, safety risks, and operational issues, and communicate them clearly to the Project Manager

Maintain accurate daily documentation including time sheets, work reports, safety records, and progress updates

Communicate professionally with customers and site stakeholders, representing Sheridan Electric with respect and confidence

Mentor and train electricians and apprentices, supporting skill development and maintaining a strong team culture

Promote and enforce all health and safety requirements, including PPE, safe work practices, and customer safety policies
Experience Required:

Valid 309A Electrical License and active membership with Skilled Trades Ontario

Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical construction

Previous experience as a Foreperson or in a leadership role on job sites is strongly preferred

Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and troubleshoot complex electrical issues

Solid working knowledge of the Ontario Electrical Code, ESA requirements, and workplace health and safety standards

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments

Valid Class G Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as required
