Special Event Rentals is looking for reliable, motivated and customer-focused Delivery Drivers to join our team in a full-time, seasonal role (May to mid-December). What You'll Do:
- Loading & Unloading: Ensure event rental orders are accurately packed and transported safely.
- Event Setups & Teardowns: Deliver, Pick up, set up and takedown tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, pipe & drape, and more.
- Safe & Professional Driving: Operate company vehicles with care and follow all safety procedures.
- Paperwork & Inventory: Keep track of deliveries, returns, and complete all required documentation.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly and professional service to clients on-site.
What You Bring:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Air brake certification is an asset)
- Minimum 6 years of driving experience (must be 25+)
- Clean Driver’s Abstract – No major convictions or at-fault claims in the past 3 years (Maximum 2 minor convictions)
- Physical Strength & Stamina – Able to lift up to 70 lbs and handle event equipment
- Attention to Detail – Accuracy in counting and paperwork is crucial
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment – Events move quickly, and so do we!
- Excellent Customer Service Skills – Be the friendly face of our company on-site
Hiring Process:
In-Person Interview – Focused on attitude, experience, and team fit
Reference Check – Provide abstract and any recent work references (if available)
Road Assessment Test – Must pass during the first week for continued employment
Perks & Compensation:
Starting Pay: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8 AM – 6 PM (Sundays required during peak season). This is a seasonal position with work until mid December, with potential for extension based on business needs
This position will begin at approximately 30 hours per week. As business demands and order volume increase, additional hours may become available.
