Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various massage techniques and be committed to providing exceptional care to clients. Adica Wellness also offers psychotherapy, so trauma informed work is a bonus. We promote cross-referral between services such as physiotherapy, psychotherapy, and reflexology.
Adica Wellness offers full administrative support, but clinicians are expected to understand the basics of billing and booking at the clinic - this will be taught at time of employment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and medical history to develop tailored massage therapy plans.
- Perform various types of massages, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage, while ensuring client comfort and safety.
- Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively with clients about their conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their concerns or questions.
- Document client sessions accurately in accordance with company policies and maintain confidentiality.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices to continually enhance skills.
Requirements
- Valid CMTNB license or intention to hold one before beginning work.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed (negotiated at time of interview).
- Previous experience in a spa, wellness center, or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $50.00-$115.00 per hour
