Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and experienced Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, expertly mixing drinks, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of food and beverage operations, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
The bartender will be responsible for serving drinks responsibly, managing cash handling, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained at all times. Prior experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is preferred, along with a background in restaurant or food service environments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to enhance their experience.
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cashiering.
- Manage cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible alcohol service.
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are followed during food handling and serving.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours.
- Verify guest age and comply with all alcohol service regulations.
Requirements
- Valid Smart Serve Certification (Required).
- Minimum 2–3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume restaurant or pub (Required).
- Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is required.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is an asset.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
