We are seeking a Manager, Programs and Aquatics to provide leadership and oversight of aquatics, fitness and youth programming operations. The Manager, is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs, services, facilities and equipment in both aquatic and dryland environments. This role includes direct program delivery, instruction of group fitness classes, staff training and coaching, performance evaluation, and supervision of program staff and volunteers. The Manager is responsible for fostering a safe, welcoming and positive experience for all participants and members. This is a physically demanding position that requires the ability to lead recreation programs and group fitness classes, assist participants in the Conditioning Centre, and perform direct service delivery shift in role such as Fitness Staff, Program Staff, and Lifeguard/Swim Instructor. This position has an expected start date of August 31, 2026.

Supervisory experience of a large staff team including Team Leads, Deck Leads and Front Line Staff (i.e. scheduling, performance management etc.)

Strong customer service and communication skills

Previous experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor is considered an asset

Current National Lifeguard Certification or ability to be certified

Current YMCA Fitness Certification or industry equivalent

YMCA Aquatics Trainer Certification considered an asset

Previous experience working in a youth recreational setting is considered an asset

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience and computer skills
