PeopleConnect Staffing is currently recruiting an experienced Licensed Industrial Electrician (309A or 442A) for a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems and production equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, machine vision systems, barcode scanners, robotics, and industrial automation equipment.
- Diagnose and repair motor controls, VFDs, AC/DC motors, servo drives, relays, contactors, and electrical control circuits.
- Maintain and repair facility systems including HVAC, lighting, compressed air systems, and electrical switchgear.
- Troubleshoot mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
- Safely perform electrical work on equipment up to 600V AC.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to restore production.
- Complete maintenance work orders and record parts usage using a CMMS (eMaint).
- Support equipment upgrades, automation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in equipment, automation, and safety training programs.
- Attend maintenance toolbox meetings and communicate critical equipment issues to Maintenance Supervisors.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to maximize equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Industrial Electrician (442A) or Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A) License.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with:
- PLC systems
- Robotics
- Machine vision systems
- Barcode scanners
- Industrial automation
- Experience troubleshooting:
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- AC/DC motors
- Servo drives
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Mechanical drive systems
- Experience working with electrical equipment up to 600V AC.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (eMaint or equivalent).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Industrial automation training or experience is considered a strong asset.
