About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a premier North American manufacturer of custom kitchen cabinetry and architectural woodwork. We are looking for an exceptional Microvellum Draftsman to take complete ownership of the final design and production release for complex, multi-unit residential projects.
This is not a drafting role. You will be the critical link between the architect's vision and the factory floor. Your precision, your cut lists, and your programming will directly drive the CNC machines and the success of the manufacturing team.
What You Will Do
- Translate Vision to Reality: Convert complex architectural designs into flawless, actionable manufacturing data.
- Command the CNC Floor: Program and communicate highly accurate cut lists directly to CNC machinery using Microvellum, AutoCAD, and Inventor.
- Drive Project Success: Provide purchasing and project management with exact material takeoffs to keep fast-paced projects on schedule and on budget.
- Innovate: Research, develop, and maintain our internal product library, designing more efficient methodologies for custom installations.
- Collaborate & Solve: Work directly with Plant Managers and CNC operators to proactively resolve machining and production challenges.
What You Bring
- Deep, practical expertise in CAD/CAM software, with a strong focus on Microvellum.
- A comprehensive understanding of commercial manufacturing, millwork, and cabinetry.
- A proven ability to read architectural blueprints and shop drawings, instantly recognizing design intent and potential manufacturing roadblocks.
- A track record of thriving in fast-paced environments where your attention to detail ensures the success of the entire production line.
How to Apply
We don’t want to just read your resume. We want to see how you think and what you build.
When you apply, please include your resume along with a link to your portfolio, a complex shop drawing, or a brief description of the hardest manufacturing or drafting problem you have ever solved.

Application question(s):
- Are you legally authorized to work in Canada?
- How many years of direct, hands-on experience do you have using Microvellum software?
- Describe a specific instance where an architectural design or blueprint was physically impossible or highly inefficient to manufacture. How did you identify the flaw, and how did you bridge the gap between the architect's intent and the factory floor's reality?
- In your experience, what is the most critical mistake people make when managing or updating a Microvellum product library, and what specific steps do you take to ensure those errors never reach the CNC operators?
