What We Need:
The distribution associate receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within facility. They are also responsible for shipping and distribution duties such as picking, packing, shipping and distribution of products and goods. Distribution associates must maintain quality control standards and efficient distribution methods. They are also responsible for safe and efficient material handling, stocking methods and accuracy of finished products shipped to customers.
What you'll be doing:
- Perform daily procedures as per department standards.
- Read goods receipt, picking & packing documents, shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from receiving area to storage or other designated areas.
- Place goods on shelves, racks or bins according to predetermined location codes.
- Assemble customer orders and Kits from stock products.
- Package goods for shipping.
- Writes up courier waybills as necessary.
- Perform periodic inventory counting and maintain stock.
- Operate automated shipping machines.
- Assist in receiving duties as requested.
- Operate a forklift for distribution of goods, loading or unloading trucks.
- Check and enter records into computer system.
What you'll need to be successful:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Computer proficiency.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, and/or crouch, walk, climb, and balance.
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
