About Us
Rio Heating & Cooling is a small but growing HVAC contractor working on commercial and residential projects throughout the Lower Mainland.
We are currently looking for experienced HVAC Journeyman Technicians and Level 3 or 4 HVAC Apprentice to join our team.
Position Summary
This position is for someone with hands-on HVAC experience who can work on commercial and residential HVAC installations, service, maintenance, and project work. The right candidate should take pride in their work, communicate well, and be able to work professionally with customers, site supervisors, and other trades.
For the right person, this role can grow into a lead hand or foreman position.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair commercial and residential HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment.
- Work with heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioning, ventilation, RTUs, and related mechanical systems.
- Read and follow drawings, specifications, and company procedures.
- Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Coordinate with team members, customers, site supervisors, and other trades.
- Complete projects and service calls in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
Qualifications
- Experienced HVAC Journeyman or Level 3 / Level 4 Apprentice.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- HVAC trade schooling, certifications, or related experience.
- VRF / heat pump experience is an asset.
- Sheet metal experience is an asset.
- Hydronic heating experience is an asset.
- Gas "A" ticket is an asset.
Compensation
Wage range: $40.00 to $80.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and ability.
