Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Equipment Operator/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves operating various types of heavy machinery, performing site preparation, and supporting construction projects with precision and safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction environments, possess mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate a strong work ethic. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects utilizing a range of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders. Candidates with experience in paving, and commercial driving are highly valued. All positions are paid and require a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, backhoes, safely and efficiently.
- Perform site preparation tasks including grading, paving support, and material movement.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Drive commercial vehicles when required for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are upheld at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, excavators, graders, and paving equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to operate specialized machinery such as graders effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and protocols.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for driving company vehicles or transporting equipment.
- Construction experience demonstrating versatility across different types of heavy equipment operations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
