Arjae Design Solutions Ltd. is a fast-growing Engineering, Design and Fabrication company providing unique solutions to clients in the energy industry. We are a manufacturer of pressure vessels, Direct fired heaters, Indirect fired heater coils, pressure piping and fittings for the oil & gas industry.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking for 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Welding Apprentices to join our fabrication team for the fabrication of stainless and carbon steel pressure vessels and process piping for our Nisku facility. We are looking for team-oriented individuals who can also work independently, are focused on safety, and who work well in an entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities (Based on experience and year/training level)
- Fabricate, layout and fit Structural skids and components.
- Perform SWAW, FCAW/MCAW on structural steel skids, pump and pipe supports
- Read, follow and interpret fabrication drawings, specifications, welding procedures
- Cut and cope beams by using plasma and oxy-acetylene torches
- Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship with focus on quality and accuracy
- Work safely and maintaining safety in facility; Follow and support safety program
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Education & Training
- 1st, 2nd or 3rd Year Welding Apprentice registered with AIT
Experience & Skills
- CWB certification for SMAW FCAW/MCAW an asset
- Previous welding experience in a fabrication shop preferred
- Strong verbal communication skills; Ability to read, interpret and comprehend written materials
- Safety-oriented; Valid First Aid ticket and other HSE-related tickets an asset
Additional Information
- This position is based in our office in Nisku, Alberta; preference will be given to candidates based in the Edmonton area
- Position will be working with a team of professionals and training in-house will be provided
