We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, explaining repair needs, and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with mechanical knowledge and sales aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns
- Explain recommended services and repairs clearly and accurately
- Prepare detailed work orders and communicate customer needs to technicians
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle condition
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently
- Schedule service appointments and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of service history and customer interactions
- Provide excellent customer service to foster loyalty and repeat business
- Assist in promoting dealership services, specials, or promotions as appropriate
Skills
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant automotive background is beneficial
- Strong mechanical knowledge or mechanic experience helps in explaining repairs effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Sales skills, including upselling additional services or products confidently
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and industry standards
- Professional demeanor with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
