Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals by following recipes and portioning food accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Support cooks in meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and assembling dishes.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in training sessions on food handling and safety protocols as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others as needed.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
