Luna Nectar (lunanectar.com) is a Canadian sustainability-focused haircare brand rooted in adaptogen theory, from Eastern rituals. Leaping Bunny and PETA-certified Vegan & Cruelty-Free, dermatologist-tested, and trichologist-approved, we help to restore stressed-out hair, skin, and scalps back to balance using the power of science-backed adaptogens.
Luna Nectar is on the hunt for a Formulation Technician to join our team. We are looking for a self-starter to manufacture our products, and assist with R&D. You have confident laboratory skills and a strong understanding of HACCP and GMP protocol, safety procedures, lab management, and lab equipment. You are interested in green, sustainable products, and are looking to learn and expand in a passionate, young, forward-thinking company.
Duties include:
- manufacturing products – equipment preparation, formulation, and fulfillment
- R&D for private label department
- keeping lab area and equipment clean
- general lab management (keeping records of batches, ingredient supply, equipment maintenance)
- QC
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science, Major in Chemistry or Food Science
- Knowledge and/or interest in natural ingredients and skincare products
- Ideally we would like applicants to have at least one year of field lab experience but not required.
The position would be 18-24 hours per week, and opportunity for more hours per week depending on volumes.
