Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Prep and Line Cook to join our dedicated team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, pizza doughs, catering orders, cooking dishes to order, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, contributing to a memorable dining experience for guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food service. Ideally, you would come equipped with an understanding of prep and line cook work!
Duties
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring for various menu items
- Cook and assemble dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, following proper food handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen station throughout shifts
- Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visual appeal
- Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking in a restaurant or food service setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling safety standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in meal preparation
- Knowledge of the food industry
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer experience
