Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Building Manager and Caretaker to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our property. This role involves ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality of the buildings and surrounding property while providing exceptional customer service to tenants and visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, property management experience, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep. Responsibilities
- Establish routine schedules and oversee the day-to-day operations of the building, including maintenance, security, and cleanliness.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance with vendors and service providers.
- Manage administrative tasks such as responding to resident requests, guest suite operations, rental parking stalls and storage rentals
- Handle all resident/tenant inquiries, complaints, and service requests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property and buildings to ensure safety standards are met and facilities are in optimal condition and cleanliness
- Maintain accurate records of building activities, maintenance schedules, and tenant interactions.
- Assist the Strata Property Management Company with any notices to residents
- Manage the move-ins and move-outs in coordination with the Strata Property Management Company
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
- Effect minor building repairs at the request of the Strata Property Management Company or Strata Council
- Manage janitorial services in the common areas of the buildings that are not taken care of by the janitorial company
- Maintain the swimming pool and sauna areas with daily checks and maintenance as per health regulations
- Provide a monthly report to the Strata Council of all activities in the buildings and on the property detailing what has been done and what needs to be addressed
Skills
- Strong administrative experience with data entry, filing, and office organization.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor.
- Experience in property management or building maintenance is a must.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of facility safety standards and building regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with team members when needed.
This role is vital for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all building occupants while providing excellent service through effective management practices.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
