Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Shingler/Sloped Roofer to join our team at GV Roofing. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in sloped roofing and be proficient in installing asphalt shingles. Responsibilities
- Install and repair all types of asphalt shingles.
- Utilize a variety of roofing tools and equipment to complete installations and repairs.
- Install plywood, underlayment, peel and stick materials with precision.
- Install roofing vents and other necessary components.
- Perform flashing installations when required.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during roofing installations
Experience
- Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with roofing tools and equipment including but not limited to Roofing nail guns, Hammer and pry bar, Utility knife, Chalk line, Measuring tape, Roofing shovel, Pneumatic stapler, Safety harness and other personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Installation Skills: Proficient in installing plywood, underlayment, peel and stick membranes, and roofing vents.
- Bonus Skill: Experience with flashing installation is a plus.
- Safety: Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials as needed.
- Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
