Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Freelance Roofer to join our team in the GTA. This independent contractor role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems and applying sealing spay on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, with the ability to work efficiently and safely on various roofing projects. Responsibilities
- Measure and assess roofing projects
- Install, repair, and replace roofing materials such as shingles, metal, or membrane systems
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment as needed
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and durability of roofing systems
- Maintain a clean work environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met within deadlines
Qualifications
- MUST have work at heights certification.
- Ability to work on a contractual basis.
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or handyman work with a focus on roofing projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, caulking, and square footage calculation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to access various job sites across GTA
