Position Summary
Millennium Mechanical Contracting is seeking experienced and safety-oriented Millwrights to support maintenance, construction, shutdown, and project activities within both gold and nickel processing facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical mechanical systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of mining and mineral processing equipment in both surface and underground operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mill and processing equipment.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
- Complete equipment alignments, bearing replacements, gearbox repairs, and mechanical overhauls.
- Maintain and repair pumps, conveyors, crushers, screens, feeders, agitators, compressors, and material handling systems.
- Support mill shutdowns, capital projects, and construction activities.
- Conduct inspections and identify equipment deficiencies before failures occur.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
- Assist with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
- Participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright Certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial, mining, or heavy mechanical experience.
- Experience in gold and/or nickel processing facilities considered a strong asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

- Crushers and screening plants
- Grinding circuits (SAG, Ball, and Rod Mills)
- CIP/CIL and leaching circuits
- Thickening and filtration systems
- Process pumps and slurry systems
- Gold room support equipment
- Conveyors and ore handling systems
Nickel Processing Equipment
- Crushing and ore handling systems
- Underground material handling systems
- Dewatering systems
- Process pumping systems
- Ventilation and utility systems
- Conveyors, feeders, and transfer systems
- Shaft and hoisting infrastructure support
Additional Assets
- Underground mining experience.
- CWB Welding Certification.
- Rigging and Hoisting Certification.
- Fall Protection Training.
- Confined Space Entry and Rescue.
- Elevated Work Platform Certification.
- CSAM, COR, or equivalent safety training.
- Experience working around shafts, hoists, crushers, and ore handling systems.
