Apex Geomatics is seeking an experienced Site Survey Lead to oversee field survey operations on a major infrastructure project in Regina, Saskatchewan.

What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise daily field survey operations on a major construction project
- Perform and oversee construction layout, control surveys, and as-built surveys
- Coordinate daily work assignments, priorities, and field resources
- Mentor, coach, and develop Surveyors and Survey Assistants
- Ensure all survey work meets Apex's QA/QC standards and project specifications
- Review field notes, layouts, survey data, and client deliverables for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor IFC drawing revisions and ensure crews are working from current information
- Coordinate with Project Managers, CAD teams, engineers, and client representatives
- Manage equipment calibration, survey control, and field documentation
- Support troubleshooting of technical survey challenges and field discrepancies
- Promote a strong safety culture through daily toolbox meetings, site inspections, and compliance with Apex and client HSE requirements
- Serve as Apex's primary on-site representative, building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 7 years of industrial construction surveying experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience leading survey crews on complex industrial or infrastructure projects
- Strong proficiency with Trimble Robotic Total Stations, GNSS RTK, and related survey software
- Excellent understanding of construction layout, survey control, as-built surveys, and QA/QC processes
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, IFC packages, and construction specifications
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
· Valid certifications in Leadership for Safety Excellence and First Aid.
- Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent field experience is considered an asset
