The Esquimalt MFRC is looking for one Out-of-School Care Worker and casual staff to join our Belmont Park, Colwood team for the 2026-2027 school year (September to June). Shifts for this position can range from 20 to 25 hours per week. Expected shifts would be Monday and Friday, between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Personal transportation is recommended due to the limited bus service.
The requirements for this role are:
- A valid First Aid Certificate and CPR level ‘C’ is required.
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check.
- Responsible Adult Certification, as defined by the Community Care and Assisted Living Act.
- This position requires at least 20 hours of childcare-related education in areas such as child development, health and safety, nutrition, or guidance.
- Suitable applicants must also be 19 years of age.
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural challenges is an asset.
- Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum two doses).
